Course description

This course provides a deep dive into the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Linux-based systems. You will move beyond the GUI to master the Command Line Interface (CLI), learning how to manage hardware, software, and network resources. The curriculum typically covers the entire lifecycle of a server—from initial partitioning and OS installation to securing the system against external threats and automating repetitive tasks with shell scripts.

What will i learn?

• System Operation: Manage the boot process, configure kernel modules, and handle system logging/auditing.
• User & Security Admin: Configure user accounts, groups, and Pluggable Authentication Modules (PAM), while enforcing file permissions and ownership.
• Automation: Write and execute Bash scripts to automate backups, system monitoring, and user management.
